I went into Ulta looking for a high end highlighter. After a lot of browsing and price comparing, I came to the conclusion that the Urban Decay Naked Flushed palette was my best bet. It comes with a bronzer, highlighter, and blush for only $32 at Ulta. I decided to get this palette in the shade “Streak”, mostly because I liked the coral blush and the lighter bronzer. The palette also comes in three other shades.
One reason why I liked this palette is because it does have a strong smell that most cosmetics do (especially high-end). I cannot stand cosmetics that just has an overpowering smell.
Bronzer: I think the bronzer could be a little bit darker and more matte, but I have really liked it so far. I do not really use it for contouring purposes, but I use it when I really need a nice tan glow. I think you can wear it really sheer or build it up to your desired tone.
Highlighter: The only reason I picked this up from Ulta is because I wanted an amazing highlighter, and the drugstore is slacking with their selection. The highlighter has pink undertones, which really looks good on my skin. I just dust this on the top of my cheekbones, my cupid’s bow, the tips of my nose, and my chin. I like it because it doesn’t make me look shiny, which is important to me because I have very oily skin. I love that it has pink undertones, and it blends very well with the blush from this palette. I have enjoyed doing the new strobing technique (I have a post on it, click here) with this blush.
Blush: When I first saw this blush, I gotta admit I was terrified of it. I tend to choose more mocha/blue toned nudes. So this blush was really out of my comfort zone. However, after many (many) tries of blending and building up and toning down, I have found a great way it works for me. When strobing, I just pick up the tiniest bit and blend it in with my highlight for a gorgeous pink glow.
I really love this palette, and I think anybody looking for some good high-end face products would love this.
